Threads set to get edit button

The social media landscape has a new contender: Threads. Developed by Meta, this Twitter competitor has achieved a rapid start, boasting over 100 million users since its recent launch. Meta had been working on Threads for some time, accelerating its release following Twitter’s recent rate-limiting debacle.

However, the app— while operational and visually appealing, lacks many staple features users of social media platforms have grown accustomed to. As such, Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram and Threads, has been actively addressing user feedback and concerns over the past week.

Feature development seems to be well underway. Notably, post-editing, a function currently limited to Twitter Blue, is set to be introduced freely on Threads. Another popular demand is for a chronological feed that only includes posts from followed users, a request that Mosseri has committed to addressing within the next few weeks.
