Did Zack Morris know about Roaring Kitty’s return?
Fintwit influencer Zack Morris appeared to potentially have insider knowledge about the return of famed investor “Roaring Kitty.”
Morris tweeted an image last week that was strikingly similar to one posted by Roaring Kitty, whose real name is Keith Patrick Gill, four days later. This coincidence has led to speculation that Morris was aware of the scheme ahead of time.

US Jobless Claims: The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits fell by 10,000 to a seasonally adjusted 222,000 for the week ended May 11, according to the Labor Department. This drop indicates continued strength in the labor market, reversing part of the previous week's surge attributed to school spring breaks in New York.
Netflix Sports: Netflix Inc. has secured a three-season deal with the NFL to air two Christmas Day games this year, with plans to host at least one Christmas game in both 2025 and 2026. This agreement, marking Netflix's first venture into live sports broadcasting, will cost the company approximately $150 million for the two games this year.
Honda EV Push: Honda Motor Co. plans to invest US$65 billion over the next decade to advance its electrification strategy, expecting a rebound in demand for battery-powered vehicles. The investment will cover software, R&D, and supply chain establishment in key markets, aiming for 100% EV and fuel-cell vehicle sales by 2040. Honda will introduce seven new EV models by 2030, with two new models in China this year and a swappable battery EV in Japan by 2026.
Laurentian Bank: Laurentian Bank of Canada is cutting close to 50 jobs as part of a strategic overhaul that includes exiting the equity research business. The bank, which had 3,000 employees as of October, previously announced a 2% staff reduction in December. CEO Eric Provost noted the need for these decisions to position the bank for future success. Laurentian will also suspend research coverage on about 80 companies, mainly small-cap mining and resource firms.
Walmart Earnings: Walmart raised its full-year forecast and reported better-than-expected first-quarter results, driven by easing inflation boosting sales of groceries and non-essential items like clothing and electronics. U.S. comparable sales, excluding fuel, increased by 3.9%, surpassing analyst expectations of 3.15%. Online sales in the U.S. surged 22%, with significant contributions from high-income households. Walmart's first-quarter adjusted earnings were 60 cents per share, beating the 52-cent forecast, and total revenue was $161.51 billion.
